Pop up Food Nights

At the end of each term, the committee put on catering for all to enjoy. Our members and family can purchase food and money raised goes towards our club.

End of Year Display & Award Night

The highlight of the year for some, our display night is a great night of fun and celebration.  All groups have the opportunity to prepare a freestyle routine to either pop music or often a Christmas theme. It offers the gymnasts the opportunity to display gymnastic skills but also includes dance and other skills.  The senior routines are always a must see, displaying all the tumbling and skills that they have achieved during the year.

The night culminates with thanks given to the committee and coaches for their efforts during the year, and coaches awards for all Levels, plus the Gus Fordham Rising Star Award and the major Reg Hateley Award given to a senior WAG and MAG gymnast.

The Awards are;

The Gus Fordham Rising Start Award (criteria for this award is; male and female gymnasts who has attended the club for more than 12 months; displayed potential and good form; consistently showed enthusiasm, effort and enjoyment; listened to instructions and were well-mannered.

Reg Hateley Award (Criteria for this award is; male and female gymnast who has competed for at least 2 years for N&DGC, being a good ambassador for the club and competing with good spirit; good gymnastic ability, showing good basic form and consistently putting in effort and dedication; positive attitude towards training; good manners, enthusiasm and encouragement towards others; going above and beyond to help out around the club)

Mini Comp

In June every year we begin our competition season with an in-house comp.  This is an opportunity to learn the process of comp day especially for those gymnasts competing for the first time. They are encouraged to dress and present themselves as they would for competition, so it’s a good way to make sure you are organised before attending comps at other clubs.   It also gives the gymnasts and coaches an idea of what they need to work on.  The competition also gives us the opportunity to fundraise, with a raffle and all proceeds from the canteen going towards new equipment.

N&DGC Invitational Competition

N&DGC Invitational Competition

For many years N&DGC has hosted a very successful competition in November, normally the last WAG LAT opportunity of the year. This competition usually brings upwards of 250 MAG and WAG gymnasts to the small town of Natimuk for 2 days of competition.  We offer WAG competition from Level 1-10 and Mag Level 1-7.   Gymnasts attend from all over Victoria and South Australia and it is a very busy weekend and a wonderful fundraising opportunity for the club.  It is all hands on deck for our volunteer committee and our Head Coach Lynette does a great job of organising and running the competition side of the 2 days. All who attend from gymnasts, parents, coaches and judges always comment on what a well-run and fun weekend they’ve had.
