𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 – 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐤 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩Unfortunately, due to the ongoing impact of the fires, we have made the difficult decision not to hold our Mini Competition this year, which would normally take place each year in June. Our Mini Competition traditionally marks the start of the competition season and provides a fun, supportive environment for our younger gymnasts to experience competition day. It gives athletes the opportunity to practise the full competition process, build confidence, and prepare for larger events throughout the season. The event also serves as an important fundraiser for the club through raffle and canteen sales, making its cancellation disappointing for both our athletes and the club.𝐖𝐀𝐆 & 𝐌𝐀𝐆 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟒+ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠From Term 3, our WAG & MAG Level 4+ training sessions will move from Wednesday evenings to Friday nights. As Stawell Gymnastics Club prepares for its own competition season, they require additional access to their facility during the week. We are incredibly grateful that they have once again generously offered us the use of their gym on Friday evenings. While we are still awaiting news on when we may be able to return to our own gym, we will continue releasing training schedules a few weeks at a time to provide flexibility as arrangements evolve. 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞We are pleased to share that the majority of works within our Gymnasium have now been completed, marking a significant milestone in our recovery journey. Most of our replacement equipment has also been ordered, and we are eagerly awaiting its arrival. As some of this equipment is manufactured and shipped from Europe, longer lead times are expected.Behind the scenes, a few of our coaches and committee members have worked tirelessly over the past six months to help get the club back on its feet. They know who they are, and we simply cannot thank them enough for the countless hours, dedication, and commitment they have given to our club and its members.𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝The effects of the fires continue to be felt across our club community. We have staff members who have been without work for the past six months, athletes with significantly reduced training hours, and some members who have not been able to train at all. As we head into the competition season, it is important that we remain kind, patient, and mindful of the challenges everyone has faced. Our athletes have not had the preparation, training time, or consistency that they would normally have leading into competitions. While results are always exciting, this season is also about celebrating resilience, participation, and the incredible effort our gymnasts, coaches, and families have shown throughout a very difficult period.Thank you for your continued support of our club.
