Competitions take place throughout the year at various clubs and are a great opportunity for gymnasts to showcase their skills! Participation is completely optional, and competition entry fees are in addition to Term fees.
For gymnasts enrolled in WAG competition classes, we ask that they participate in at least three competitions annually, which can include our November event. If your child is in a MAG program, please chat with their coach to learn about competition requirements.

Signing up for a Competition
Make sure your gymnast is competition-ready!
Please check that they have the correct uniform well before competition day to avoid any last-minute stress.
Competitions will be announced on Team App under ‘Calendar & Events’. Entry forms are right here! Click here for Entry Forms.
Ready to enter? Here’s how!
- Complete and submit the form.
Take a moment to review your details before submitting. If you’re unsure about something—like your level—please select ‘Unsure’ (if available) or contact us. We’re here to help! - Check your confirmation email.
Make sure all details are correct. If you spot anything that needs updating, just reach out to the club and we’ll fix it together. - Payment comes next.
Once you receive your invoice, please make your competition fee payment. Your entry won’t be finalised until payment is received.
What to pack in your Gym bag
- Water bottle (water only, please!)
- Small blanket (it can get chilly while waiting your turn)
- Socks (perfect for keeping toes warm between events)
- Spare hair tie (just in case!)
- Grips (for levels that use them)
On the Day
Feeling Unwell? please stay home and let the head coach know. Health and safety come first!
Please arrive 10 minutes early so gymnasts have plenty of time to settle in and get ready. All athletes should arrive wearing their full competition uniform, prepared and ready to go.
Once you arrive, find your team and coach. The coach will let you know when it’s time to enter the competition floor.
Competition Appearance
Underwear
Underwear must not be visible. Please choose options that match your leotard colour or are nude/skin tone. Plain white socks only (no logos).
Hair
Hair must be tied up securely. If it is long, it should be plaited and/or pinned so it cannot fall onto the face. This keeps gymnasts neat, safe, and ready to perform. Please avoid large sparkly accessories.
Makeup
No makeup, glitter, face sparkles, zinc, or any decorative products on the face or exposed skin. Nail polish is also not allowed.
Jewellery
Small stud earrings only. Sleepers/hoops are not allowed. All other jewellery—necklaces, bracelets, rings, and watches—must be removed.
On the Floor
- Once gymnasts are on the floor/arena, they must stay with their group—no visiting parents or guardians during this time.
- Need something, like a toilet break? Just ask your coach—they’ll be with the group all the way through, offering support and encouragement!
Family & Spectators
- Parents and guardians, please enjoy the competition from the designated spectator areas and cheer on your gymnast from the sidelines! No flash photography please. Camera flashes can put gymnasts off and can be very dangerous if they go off during gymnast routines.
- All our gymnasts and their families are representing N&DGC and we ask that you abide by the rules of the host club and be respectful and courteous to all other gymnasts, spectators and officials.
